I was delighted when I was approached by Mrs Longden, the head teacher of Redmile Primary School to design and paint an exterior mural to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the school.
Initially, I created a conceptual design and we soon agreed on the final design and then the mural painting began.
Wild animals were extremely important to the design, so a fox, a hare, red kites (which are locally found), a tawny owl and some smaller creatures starred in the piece. The Sun setting behind the unmistakable Redmile Church Spire during a warm summer's evening all went into the very locally-inspired Leicestershire mural design.
